The Legend of Zelda live-action film will star actors Bo Bragason and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Zelda and Link respectively.
The information was revealed on Nintendo’s social media channels by collection creator Shigeru Miyamoto, who commented he was “very a lot trying ahead to seeing each of them on the massive display screen”.
The film, directed by Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ Wes Ball, will launch on Might 7, 2027. A brief delay from its authentic March 2027 launch date was revealed final month.

Bragason notably starred in final 12 months’s standard BBC crime drama The Jetty, with one other important solid credit score in Disney+ household present Renegade Nell.
Ainsworth featured in Netflix horror drama The Haunting of Bly Manor, and additionally voiced Pinocchio in Disney+’s 2022 live-action model of the traditional animation.
Sony Photos is distributing the film, with Miyamoto and Spider-Man’s Avi Arad credited as producers.
