New $50 Nintendo Switch 2 Handheld Controller Has Ergonomic Grips And Pro-Style Features

When you’re in search of another handheld controller for Nintendo Switch 2, fashionable third-party producer GameSir simply launched a brand new budget-friendly choice that is price testing. The GameSir X5s is a $50 Bluetooth mobile controller for Switch 1/2, iOS, and Android. It could possibly maintain units measuring as much as 8.38 inches and has a number of pro-style options and design components that make it an intriguing substitute for Nintendo’s Joy-Con 2 Controllers.

The X5s is not formally licensed by Nintendo. At the moment, there are no official alternate options, and choices are slim normally. I have not examined the X5s, however I’ve used the higher-end GameSir G8 Plus on Switch 2 and have been impressed by the ergonomics and construct high quality. The G8 Plus retails for $80–though it is on sale for $70 at Walmart–and has just a few extra options. At $50, the GameSir X5s feels like a cut price.

The G8 Plus, for reference, has all of the features found on the X5s, but it also has two remappable back buttons, removable faceplates, and comes with five swappable stick tops. It also has a larger form factor and cradles devices up to 8.46 inches.

GameSir isn’t the only manufacturer producing Switch controllers with removable face buttons. 8BitDo’s recently released Pro 3 Bluetooth Gamepad has swappable magnetic face buttons for the same reason. But unlike GameSir’s controllers, the Pro 3 comes with an extra set of unlabeled buttons themed after the Super Famicom controller. The 8BitDo Pro 3 is one of the best Nintendo Switch 2 (and Switch) controllers, and it’s available for $63 (was $70) for a restricted time.
